Rules of the ladder: Players can challenge either the player immediately above them on the ladder rung, or challenge the player skipping above that one. If the higher player wins there is no change in the ladder. If the lower rung player draws they are entitled to an immediate rematch. If the lower player wins they exchange rung positions.
Variations can occur of these rules depending on number of players present and their current positions on the ladder.
